Saturday night we finally got the call we were dreading for the past 2 1/2 years. My Grandmother Margaret had lost her brave fight with breast cancer. She fought a vallant fight and survived longer than anyone had ever imagined. When she was diagonsed with stadium 4 breast cancer in Aug. of 2005 she was given 6 to 9 months. So she fought hard to stay with us longer. She said she wasn't in pain at all, of course we now know she was (at least a little in the end)but she kept it from us. It is strange but when I look back on the grandmother I know from my childhood, I would have never expected her to be such a fighter. She was the worrier, always calling and checking up on us. She was the little one who was a bit timid and soft spoken. When she lost Papa we thought she wouldn't make it for very long without him but she did and she became a very strong and independent woman. I am proud to be named after her. She was a wonderful woman who taught us all a lesson in strength, courage and human will.
Goodbye Grandma Margaret.
We love and Miss you.
We shall never forget you!
Rest in Peace...
